Harris County Commissioners Court to consider FEMA grant extensions Oct. 29, 2026

Harris County Commissioners Court will meet on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026 to consider extensions to federal pre-disaster mitigation project grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The extensions will give the Harris County Flood Control District more time to complete detention basin and debris removal projects without changing funding amounts.

Harris County ESD 9 to receive HR audit Oct. 29, 2026

The Harris County Emergency Services District No. 9 board of commissioners will receive and discuss an HR audit presentation at its regular meeting on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026. The board will also review and act on insurance policy renewals, establishment of District Treasuries & Money Markets accounts, and multiple other agenda items including training applications and health and wellness physical contracts.
